Germany: June 2005 Archives
This is another medieval castle in the same region as previous few posts in Germany. we stopped on our way to Burg Eltz to have lunch in a nice restaurant located near this castle.
In this part of Germany there are lost of castles, most of which near rivers and on top of hills. Hmmm as far as I am not receiving any feedbacks, I reckon that everyone likes my pictures!
This was a lake in the same regoin as Burg Eltz, It is called the Laach lake - (it is close to the famous monastery of Maria Laach). The weather was quite humid that's why the background is sort of fade (that's what I like about this picture!).

This is how Burg Eltz looks when you are standing inside! (For more information you can see my previous post)

Burg Eltz is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Mosel River between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century. Some parts of castle are open for visitors (But it's not allowed to take any pictures). We walked for almost an hour to get to the castle (which was really fun). If you want to know more about the castle, take a look at the official site of Burg Eltz .
