The Lake District National Park in the north-west of England is the largest English National Park. This shot is taken from one of the biggest lakes in this region.
Cologne Cathedral (German: Kölner Dom) is one of the best-known architectural monuments in Germany and has been Cologne's most famous landmark for centuries.

Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) is a practice that has brought better health and inner peace to millions around the world. Li Hongzi introduced it to public in 1992, and very fast found millions of practitioners in China and in other countries in the world. The former leader of the CCP, Jiang Zemin, condemned the group using the state controlled media, and started arresting, imprisoning and torturing it's practitioners. This is a non-violent movement of some practitioners in Cologne. I've written a more detailed post about Falun Dafa in our persian weblog .
Crowd next to Cologn's main Cathedral. Saturdays is usually very busy day in front of Cologn's Cathedral.
One of the advantages of having a room on the 5th floor is the chance to watch the sun set every evening, some evenings you can have the chance to see some amazing scenes like this one!
This Street artist is usually sitting and floor-painting in front of Cologn's Cathedral. For the occasion of World's catholic youth day (which I also mentioned in previous post he was drawing the picture of John Paul the second.

As you may know this week will be the World Catholic Youth Day 2005 in Cologne, Germany. I spent last weekend there with some friends, this huge poster was right in front of Cologne's main Cathedral. The picture is made of thousands of small pictures of different people. In a move to say thank you to John Paul the second these people have sent their pictures to http://thank-you-jp2.net. In their website you can look and zoom in the picture (flash file). I think it was quite a brilliant idea from Fuji and domradio!

Another shot from Heidelberg castle!
This is another shot of Heidelberg castle. For more information about Heidelberg and this castle you can see previous two posts.
As I mentioned in the previous post, one of the attractions of Heidelberg castle is it's huge wine barrel with a capacity of 220,017 liters (58,124 gallons).
The present day barrel was constructed in 1751 from 130 oak tree trunks, It is 8.5 meters across and 7 meters high with a dance floor on top. Unfortunately the picture is not that clear both because the place was quite dark and also cuz there was not enough place! You can see two visitors climbing the stairs to go to the dance floor. The barrel is in the basement of the castle in a room a bit bigger than the barrel itself!
A view of Heidelberg pictured from the castle of Heidelberg. Heidelberg (halfway between Stuttgart and Frankfurt) is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Heidelberg lies on the river Neckar at the point where the Neckar leaves its narrow, steep valley in the Odenwald hills to flow into the Rhine valley where, 20 kilometers northwest of Heidelberg it joins the Rhine at Mannheim.

Light will find it's way through, even through the darkest of the clouds!... I've taken this shot from my window!
