Some people do get suspicious, for example these series of confessions which it is happening again and political prisoners come on TV and confess that they've been working with "enemies" to make velvet revolution is not really believed anymore. But some people in small cities might believe in this propaganda because of their Religion backgrounds! They might think that the supreme leader is not lying!
Many people do oppose the system but don't have the guts to shout it out loud, It has always been like this and this election was the first time that some people did shout out loud and you saw the level of suppression.

Yes, I know there is no free media and the flow of information is strongly controlled.
But shouldn't the people hearing only all the propaganda become suspicious at some point? When they hear contradicting storys from some family members in the cities, for example? Maybe, that's what I hope, the whole propaganda, lies and violence will at one point be seen as what it is. It might result in the opposite of what it was intended for. I mean, once you realize what is going on you can only oppose this system, can't you?

Hi Marcel,
Unfortunately there is no free media, so at least in smaller cities which are only hearing news from the TV propaganda people might believe the propaganda. As you know there is no sms possibility, mobile networks go down when a mass protest is planed. They even started attacking houses to destroy the satelite dishes. So many journalist and activists as well as up to 2000 normal people are behind bars. At the moment they're even accusing the demostrators for killing Neda!
The only way is free information for people inside which seems difficullt with the situation...

This whole situation makes me sick. How is this supposed to be a democracy anymore? All these flimsy, silly arguments, like accusing foreign countries or the media, saying the protesters are the ones acting violently and so on. That's so characteristic for regimes having to hide something. How can they thing the people will buy it? I wonder: Are there people in Iran that believe what their government tells them? I don*'t know, maybe if you don't have access to free information you will be affected by propaganda.
