Muenster during cold winter days

This year winter has been cold with a lot of snow in Muenster. I’ve been doing some night (and day) photography and finally I got a chance to upload some of them in my photoblog.
The first and second photos are taken before the Christmas holidays showing the St. Labmerti church in Muenster and the other three are taken from Burg Vischering, a famous water castle in the area.
To see the photos in bigger size in the photoblog click on them. I used my new Tamron AF 10-24 objective (Canon mount) and a tripod for all these photos.

I thought I’ll also share a few words about the objective. The picture quality is great, and it definitely is good value for the money. If compared to the ultra wide Canon (or Nikon) objectives it is relatively cheap. The build quality is also relatively good and there is a 5 year guaranty on it. Sky tower Auckland

I have added a few of my pictures from Sky Tower in Auckland to my Photoblog. I tried to include views from all sides of the tower. I took some of the pictures from the restaurant were we had a nice 3 course lunch plus wine, which cost only 65 NZ$. Taking into account the quality of the lunch and that we didn’t have to pay entrance for the tower this is very cheap! So if you happen to visit Sky tower remember to reserve a table for lunch in the restaurant and enjoy a great meal with a nicer view!

Amazing inauguration panorama

David Bergman, has made a “big photo” from the big event last week. He has used a robot Gigapan and a canon G10 to have 220 photos and mix all of them in a huge Panorama that has 1474 mega pixels. Look at this great Panorama here in full screen. If you zoom in you can recognize the faces of the 2 million people on this photo. Read more about this amazing work here and here.

Muenster’s cold days
